Who Are We?
North Transylvania Fire Rescue has been serving the residents and visitors since 1987. We respond to fires, medical emergencies, vehicle collisions, and search and technical rescues in our district and assist surrounding agencies with anything they may request us for.
North Transylvania is staffed by a certified Firefighter/EMT 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Please feel free to stop by and ask the Firefighter on duty for a tour of the station, or to ask any questions that you may have. Our on-duty person will be glad to help you in any way.
Our 3 full time paid staff and handful of part timers are supported by a roster of around 30 volunteers and our 10 auxiliary members that support our first responders in innumerable ways.
If you are interested in volunteering, but are not sure about where to go or what you could do, please feel free to stop by one of our weekly meetings on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. to talk with us. Just because you may not feel comfortable with some aspects of what we do, it does not mean we may not have somewhere you can help us. We are a fully functioning Non-Profit business. Whether it’s firefighting or support, your talents and expertise can be utilized and will be greatly appreciated.
